Our version comes battered which offers a crisp edge when fried, and is already conveniently cut, so serving it would be hassle-free – no more sticky fingers finally! Just pop it into air fryer for 7 minutes and you get to enjoy our sweet and crispy nian gao. Made from glutinous rice, the slightly bouncy cake is a symbol of greater heights in the coming year, as “gao” could also mean “high” in mandarin.

PREPARATION

  • Oven/ Airfryer
  • 1.Remove porchetta from the vacuum pack, thawing is not required.
  • 2.Place porchetta in a preheated toaster, cook at 180°C for 22-25 mins.
  • 3.Remove from the oven and let it rest for 3 mins to achieve crispiness.
